HOW CAN YOU HAVE “NICE” CONFLICTS? NO CONFLICTS AT ALL?

This workshop is focused on understanding, preventing and managing conflict. The participants will learn how to recognize situations that may lead to unnecessary conflicts, enabling them to have increased productivity, better business results and more relaxed working environment.

Workshop based on the Amazon bestseller book, "Have a Nice Conflict" (available at the workshop), and delivered by TOTALSDI Certified Facilitator, Mark Myette.

Learning Objectives
1. Understand why conflict is NOT a bad thing.
2. How to estimate the costs of conflict to your organization.
3. Apply a six step process to manage, mitigate and thrive with it!

Actionable Takeaways
1. How to appreciate the value that conflict brings to your organization.
2. A template to take with you to determine the cost of conflict to your organization.
3, Understand how your strengths / overdone strengths impact conflict.

The workshop provides the framework to help people discuss root causes of conflict objectively and to design a plan to resolve it. People are encouraged to draft a "Conflict Charter" or guiding principles to follow when different points of view surface. When these agreements are in place, they have an objective, less personal process for addressing issues that can impede individual and team performance.

WORKSHOP METHODOLOGY – PRE TRAINING ACTIVITY

There will be a pre-training activity. All participants will fill in the two instruments:
1. Strength Deployment Inventory
2. Portrait of Overdone Strengths

The results of these instruments will be shared at the workshop, as a basis for personalized learning and individual strategy for conflict management.

What Mark's Clients Are Saying

Mark helped me discern my gifts / talents / strengths from the perspective of how I filter the world. It's a very valuable exercise and - especially while "filtering" for fit during my career exploration. He's a master at application and in providing real world examples. I'd recommend Mark for anyone who seeks out input via assessment tools and then wants to know what to do with the results.  Fred, Business Executive
